Trump warns possible tariffs on Apple
(MENAFN) On Friday, after a previous statement which aimed Apple, US Leader President Donald Trump warned that he would put tariffs on Samsung including other smartphone manufacturers.
Trump informed journalists at the White House on Friday afternoon, when he was asked if the leader has the authority to tariff one single firm which he answered to with, "It would be more, it would be also Samsung and anybody that makes that product. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair."
Trump stated "that'll start on, I guess, the end of June ... I think we have that appropriately done by the end of June."
Samsung, which is a South Korean based corporation , as its galaxy line is a big rival to Apple’s iPhones
Previously during that day, a statement on social media which Trump made said that he will put 25% tariff on Apple products if iPhones are not produced in the United States.
